Welcome

The mission of the American Lung Association of Alabama is to prevent lung disease and promote lung health through research, education, community service and advocacy. Our goals include reducing tobacco use, especially among young people; preventing and controlling air pollution; and providing education and funding research to make life more comfortable for people with asthma or other lung disease. The Lung Association is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization that relies on donations of time, talent, and treasure from individuals like you. There are a number of ways you can join the fight against lung disease.

As part of our American Lung Association® community, you have the benefits of in-depth and timely information on lung issues including asthma, tobacco control, and environmental health. Lung disease, including asthma, emphysema, and lung cancer, is the third leading cause of death in America. Over the last decade, the death rate from lung disease has been growing faster than the death rate from almost any other leading killer. Since 1910, the American Lung Association of Alabama has been fighting lung disease through education, community service, advocacy, and research. We are working to help those who suffer from lung disease today and prevent the spread of lung disease tomorrow.

To succeed we need your support. Contact the American Lung Association of Alabama to find out how you can join the fight....
